Blaine J. Hoffman MS OSHM is a Safety and Health expert with extensive expertise in Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) training and advisory services, with over 20 years of professional experience.
As Director, Safety & Health (VPP) at MainStream GS, Mr. Hoffmann assists organizations in achieving and sustaining world-class safety and health programs. Dorsten, and the United State Air Force.
Mr. Hoffmann was President / Chief Developer at BluePrint2Safety.com, an online safety and health training firm providing OSHA safety topics and custom training solutions. He was responsible for developing and managing the courseware, sales, and delivery of online OSHA training programs. He developed custom safety and health training solutions for a number of clients including Mechanical Systems, Logical Maintenance Solutions, and Daystar Transportation.
He was Course Chairperson at the Mid-America OSHA Training Institute. He approved all contracted trainers that were hired as well as help manage the OSHA Outreach training program. In addition, he designed and delivered various in-house safety and health training programs and developed the online safety training content. He advised numerous organizations on various OSHA topics to better prepare for OSHA VPP inspections.
As Safety Risk Management Instructor at Sinclair Community College, Mr. Hoffmann provided OSHA Outreach Trainer for individuals enrolled in Construction Management, Automotive Technician, Fire Science, and Engineering Technology programs.
As Director, Environmental, Health and Safety at Miller Brothers Excavating & Gravel, Mr. Hoffmann was performed hazard analyses and developed the company's Environmental Health and Safety program. As a direct result of Mr. Hoffman's initiatives, the company went from a penalty-rated worker's compensation premium status to a 95% discount group saving the company $240 thousand annually for four years. In addition, the Total Case Incident Rate (TCIR) dropped below national averages. He developed and implemented Various Safety Corporate policies and procedures, and trained management in VPP program elements and management practices.
Mr. Hoffmann was Director, Occupational Safety and Health at Lithko Contracting. He managed a successful corporate safety and health program for over 300 employees that resulted in the company's Insurance and TCIR being well below the industry average. His responsibilities included conducting Safety Compliance Audits and Gap Analysis
Mr. Hoffmann earned his Master of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health Management and Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health Management from Columbia Southern University. He received his Associates degree in Safety Risk Management / Environmental Technology from Sinclair College.
