Value Stream Mapping (VSM)


MainStream GS’ Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) team will facilitate your organization’s internal client team in identifying and developing a minimum of four value streams: perceived state (what we think it is), current state (what it actually is), ideal state (what it could be), and future state (what’s achievable if we removed waste) value stream maps (VSMs). Our VSM program will provide your internal team with a common understanding of how the value stream really works as well as provide a visual of the current state flow of materials and information used by your organization to add value and support your customers.

Our CPI team will assess the current state VSM and assist your internal team in identifying opportunities to create better flow and eliminate waste. The ideal and future state maps will be utilized to develop and execute improvement projects and events that focus on improved Quality, Cost, and Delivery. In addition, our CPI team will assist in developing an improvement plan to improve flow and eliminate waste.
